Local Musicians Unite with the Marine Corps for Kids at Christmas.
For the second year running, The Front Street Prophets, Alastair Greene and Instrumental Music are joining up with the United States Marine Corp and Blackbeard’s Seaside BBQ at Ventura Harbor for an evening of Blues, Soul, R&B, Dancing, Special Musical Guests and TOYS. This year expands to two nights, Friday December 16th from 7-10 pm and Saturday December 17th from 6-10 pm at Blackbeard’s, 1591 Spinnaker Dr., Ventura Harbor.
Headlining Friday Night will be local blues guitar Icon (and lead guitarist for the Alan Parsons Live Project, Alastair Greene with musical guest Tommy Marsh. Saturday Night will be the return of Jodi Farrell & The Front Street Prophets along with special guests: Santa Barbara’s “Hungry Girl”, Margie Nelson, Alastair Greene, Mr. Soul himself Ray Jay, and Ventura’s treasure on Sax, Bryan McCann. (Guests subject to change. Additional surprise musical guests to be announced).
Any and all patrons who bring an unwrapped toy will receive a raffle ticket for prizes such as CD’s, Restaurant Gift Certificates and whatever else we can think of. Those who donate will also get their hand stamped for discounts on food and beverages the evenings of the shows. On Saturday we will send someone who's donated a toy home with an autographed Fender Squire Stratocaster Guitar.
